Über diesen Titel

As a neuroscientist, Marjorie Woollacott had no doubts that the brain was a purely physical entity controlled by chemicals and electrical pulses. When she experimented with meditation for the first time, however, her entire world changed. Woollacott's journey through years of meditation has made her question the reality she built her career upon and has forced her to ask what human consciousness really is. Infinite Awareness pairs Woollacott's research as a neuroscientist with her self-revelations about the mind's spiritual power. Between the scientific and spiritual worlds, she breaks open the definition of human consciousness to investigate the existence of a nonphysical and infinitely powerful mind.

Interesting account of her own experience with enlightened state of mind.
Although I myself am not decided yet as to whether there is an external connection to our awareness or not:
This book does not make a convincing argument in my view.
Written by a scientist, I would expect a more logical and stringent argument.
But, the book is more anecdotal and the logical structure was not satisfying to me: I detected Association fallacies, black and white structured arguments (eg materialistic view vs. alternative view). I had expected more of this book.
I also found the explanation of how the brain worked tiresome, because it didn't enhance the overall argument for me.
And once you start with reincarnation, I at least expect, right at the start, the mention of the inconsistency that, with an ever increasing population: where are all the new, yet to be born identities coming from??
I have yet to finish reading, not sure I have the stamina.

Arguments flawed and compensated with a lot of words
