Für mich die Überraschung des Jahres. Ich kenne die Shadow and Bones Bücher nicht und bin nur zufällig auf die Alex Stern Reihe gestoßen. Grundsätzlich ist es eine typischer Urban-Fantasy Reihe, die aber wendungsreich geschrieben und voller interessanter Charaktere ist. Mich überrascht eine Geschichte heutzutage nur noch selten, aber diese hat es gleich mehrfach geschafft.
Dazu kommen perfekte Sprecher, die den Figuren ihre unverwechselbaren Stimmen geben.
