This book almost kills the story around Onyx.
The book is a teen drama which is randomly placed in the Halo universe. The main character a kinda Bella Swann is annoying, always unsure, depressed annoying and admired by everyone. The whole word is about her and the book let's you know it.
nobody knew what Molly knew
nobody had experienced what she had
nobody could understand her ...
Lore wise the book is bad, I mean pretty bad.
All known character behave nothing like they did before.
Why is there a Guardian I'm Onyx ? It makes no sense and isn't explained. It's like the author got a 1 side paper with the Halo lore and wrote his Fan fiction about a teen nobody understands and is so important.
the only redeeming quality is the reader. He has a enjoyable voice and tries to make the character interesting.
So as somebody who read all Halo books I can recommend, don't get this book. It's the worst in the whole series by far.
ok I have to change it to 1 star. the story is atrocious, just a bad written teen drama in the Halo universe.
