Kritikerstimmen

That can-you-beat-the-system hook recalls the juggernaut likes of Ready Player One and Lost, but Going Zero outpaces them both, and dives deeper: it's a speculative-fiction classic in the vein (and even in the league) of I, Robot and Jurassic Park. Provocative, perceptive, and – no other word will do – ingenious. (A.J. Finn, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Woman in the Window)
One of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long time. Beyond pure entertainment is the truth this novel speaks about the disturbing times we live in. (Douglas Preston, #1 New York Times bestselling author of The Cabinet of Dr. Leng and The Lost City of the Monkey God)
As fast-paced as it is timely. . . Anthony McCarten shoots a bullet through contemporary America with this wickedly taut conspiracy thriller. I'll never look at my phone the same way again. (Graham Moore, New York Times bestselling author of The Last Days of Night and The Sherlockian)
The excitement is in the chase, which builds steadily. . . This well-written yarn proves that you don't have to have a blood bath to have an engaging thriller

I really enjoyed listening to this story, it was very well read. The plot had some very unexpected plot twists that blew my mind. Sometimes the details were hard to understand but that didn’t make the story less interesting or more difficult to follow. I finished the book in 2 days and definitely recommend.

Prima

10 Zeroes go on the run in the USA! Spy program Fusion should track them down to win a 90 billion CIA contract! Can anyone avoid Fusion's AI and surveillance tentacles?

Unspectacular story and book reads like film script. Book plot changes wildly from a decent evasion thriller about 2/3 through and becomes an overly complicated espionage story that tries to unconvincingly raise the theme of security versus privacy in the connected world.

Protagonist and characters are flat and not fleshed out, have little if any development and an ending that is a bit of a damp squib.

Technology is presented as ruthlessy efficient and ineffectual depending on plot's needs. Social media barely touched upon. I was looking to learn something about latest surveillance techniques etc. but writer is very superficial sadly showing little research or knowledge of topic. Best example is that all FBI records for USA for last 60 years are able to be downloaded and copied in seconds! OK, it may not be sci-fi, but reader needs some vaguely plausible technology.

Appeals to over 40s probably. People who can remember life pre internet! This could have been so much better! Laughably compared by one critic to Crichton and Asimov... You gotta be joking!

So so tech thriller
