I would have liked a roundup chapter to revisit and summarise all the tips but otherwise easy to listen to

Helpful up to a point

This book is indeed very helpful for people struggling with health anxiety and regularly afraid they have a serious illness, even though they usually don’t. It really underlines the importance of exposure exercises - like for any type of anxiety (I am a psychologist and would know). I myself also struggled doing some exercises (like writing my own obituary), but am extremely happy I did them - I had to force myself and go through it to really learn and overcome the related fears. I am not completely cured of health anxiety now - just because I need to keep practicing for weeks and months - but would say I am doing significantly better after going through this book and the exercises.

Will follow-up with the audiobook called „Needing to know for sure“ to tackle my deeper traits and need for reinsurance that are both behind my health anxiety as well as my type A personality.
