It's like a Cinderella fairy tale for adults, in a gay version. And I reall like it! The MC's are very likeable and the steamy encounters are hot.
Lucy Lennox has the ability to take any topic and turn it into a great and unique story.
Michael Dean isn't my fav narrator, but he does an excellent job with the different voices in this book. Very well done.

Lio, der Kronrinz eines fiktiven europäischen Landes trifft in einer schwierigen Phase seines Lebens auf einem Anwesen seiner Familie den eher scheuen Amerikaner Felix, der die umfangreiche Sammlung von außergewöhnlicher Glasbläserkunst studiert, um zu dem Thema zu promovieren.
Lio genießt die Zeit mit dem jungen Mann, der ihn nicht erkennt. Sie verbringen einige unbeschwerte Tage miteinander. Aber natürlich werden sie recht schnell von der Realität eingeholt und müssen jeder für sich aber auch gemeinsam schwierige Entscheidungen treffen.
Irgendwann greifen - unvermeidlich - auch Teile der großen Wilde-Sippe ins Geschehen ein. Wunderbar!
Ich liebe Michael Dean als Sprecher. Er verleit den Charakteren eine wunderbare Tiefe und Dynamik. Er liest nicht nur, er lebt die Figuren.

I absolutely loved this audiobook! The characters were fantastic and their development throughout the story felt natural and engaging. The plot kept me hooked with its twists and emotional depth.

I always enjoy Lucy Lennox' stories but this one really stands out. I instantly fell in love with both characters and even though this kind of fairytale "prince falls in love with commoner" has been written a thousand times before it absolutely doesn't feel like any other story that has a similar plot- and not only because it's two men but because the characters and their troubles feel so relatable even though it's obviously set in a world/country that doesn't exist.

I love the Felix & Lio and wish them all the best. Their journey was stormy. And I am sure there will be strong winds at times, as they continue their travels together.
Having the kind of family Felix has - and Lio's (chosen) family will help them.
I cried a lot while listening to their story, and then was so pleased that the found their path.
I am not a fan of the narrator, many of his voices are annoying, and sometimes I find some people hard to distinguish from others.
