After the prelude in the first book, this story now clears the path for the heresy.
I really like how the different characteristics of the different protagonists work with and against each other.
As a fan of the loyalist, it's sometimes hard watching the web of mischief unfold, but although I already read the book twice, the audio book was a different and good experience.

The story accelerates to full throttle, now that all characters are in place after the first book. The overall narration ist spot on and the big scenes are marvelously described.

Although some story beats could be more fleshed out i was still very satisfied. Great narration and writing.

Das Buch währe perfekt wenn es nicht so leise wäre.
Wenn man es während der Fahrt hören möchte, muss man es so dermaßen laut aufdrehen das Google Maps dann einem das Trommelfell raus bläst.

Again, a really good book. This series is really good. The Voiceover is really high quality, and the narrator gives the characters such fitting voices.

Another good entry in the series

Dunkel und so wie man 40k kennt. Wer wissen will wie aus lupecal Horus wurde ist am richtigen Ort. Es ist die Geschichte von einem der sich in der Dialektik aus Hochmut und Zweifel verlaufen hat und dabei am Ende nicht so schlau ist, wie er meint zu sein.

Like others have said, the book, story, characters and voice over is great. But the constant time skips and in my opinion rushed "Corruption of Horus" degraded the overall quality.

It's a shame such heresy is so eloquently conveyed. All in all a great book in a great trilogy.

Even though the storytelling is sometimes missing a well developed arc, and the character development, especially the corruption seems somewhat hasty, it is a very good sequel
