In short: Good story, nicely includes the real world life, the game starts as a new VR world and slowly develops into a mysterious „more“ (with occasional hints of danger and a dark foreboding).
It’s still a typical “1 man hero figures out how to best manipulate game dynamics to achieve goal” story, but has a few interesting characters in it.
Any future books have the potential to drift into a “all other males are jerks + only women are allowed to express character” but it is not there yet.
I liked it enough to check on the next book.
