I liked it a lot.

If you are interested in how minds work in situations where there is no „simple truth“, or actually there is one, but you stand pretty alone against the verdicts of „society“ (and no, it’s not THAT black and white and simple), this might be for you.

Intelligent fun included.

Das Thema Moral und wie damit umgehen, bleibt immer aktuell. Sehr hintersinnig und mit Witz erzählt. Ein typischer Trollope!

Einer der kleineren und weniger bekannten späten Romane Trollopes, aber gewohnt unterhaltsam, lebensklug und mit zeitlos gültiger Analyse des gesellschaftlichen Umgangs mit Tabubrüchen. Sehr lebendig und facettenreich vorgelesen.
