There's warmth in de Golia's voice as Luna recalls beloved human companions and then sadness and anxiety as her previous selves adjust to changes in the humans' lives. Her experience as a street dog, teaming up with another dog and a cat, will give listeners a smile even as they realize how rough life on the street was. Cruelty comes into Luna's past lives in the form of an abusive drunken owner and a brutal career as a fight dog, with profanity popping up occasionally.
