A collection of original short stories based around particular themes such as slowing down, listening, forgiving. These stories explore aspects of our humanity, and encourage us into a better understanding of ourselves and of those around us.
The stories have been inspired by Scripture, but are set in contemporary culture, and each illustrates some aspect of loving or failing to love. They seek to throw some light on what stops us loving others and how we might grow in love, so that, as we think about the characters and the situations they find themselves in, as we apply to our own lives their troubles and their solutions, we may begin to see ourselves and those around us in a new light: precious, holy and full of possibility.
Each story has been written to stand by itself without the passage of Scripture which it illustrates, but for each one there are notes and questions in a separate appendix for those who wish to use the book in home groups or for individual study.
