Very nice improvement speed towards the end. However, there are just too many things for me to keep track of at this point.
I can not even remember all the things that the main characters has in his body. Remnants, shards, 10 hidden nodes, soul oceans, …
I would love if there was atleast a recap at the start of each book since I am not the type to listen to audio books multiple times

Has some really slow an lengthy passages, even in action rich or delicate situations. Some fights are drawn out too much followed by years of passing by in a blink.
Hope the pacing gets better again when he finally comes home.

Audio could have benefited from an additional quality pass to remove some awkward background noises. VA usually does a great job nevertheless.

!!Slight spoilers ahead!!

I was a bit upset at first, when Zack escaped the destruction of the twilight oceans just to end up immediately, and literally, caught up in the next huge thing that stopped him from going home. But! My brother reassured me he'd make it there at the end of the book, and knowing that gave me the peace of mind to settle in and enjoy Zack's newest accomplishments.
He does a lot of training in this book (surprise), but his improvements feel significant and his new knowledge all the more so. We finally get answers to a few questions! And of course, the amount of upheaval that follows in Zack's wake continues to baffle old monsters and amuse readers.

All in all, it feels like this book sets the stage for further happenings by shoring up some of Zack's weaknesses and making him aware of important things he needs to know. It went by faster than precious installments, but I think the author managed to spend the perfect amount of time on what was going on, and I'm all the more hyped for the next book!

The narrator also did a great job, as usual!
