The great Dorothy L. Sayers sends her lovely character Lord Peter Wimsey on a new adventure. This time the crime touches his family, namely his brother the Duke of Denver. As usual this crime novel is full of wit and charm and one cannot help but love the main characters. It is wonderfully read and pure joy to listen to. For me it’s like diving into another, better world, escaping from all the horrors that are going on now.

It‘s a cosy crime story with humour and cleverness. The narrator does am amazing job with the voices and their emotions!

Gut gelesen angenehm zu hören. Story: Immer noch gut geschrieben, aber für mich a bit too much of the Feudal Spirit. Daher manchmal etwas in die Länge gezogen und als Crime Story unbefriedigend. Spätere Bücher von ihr liegen mir mehr.

Dieses Buch von Sayers kann die Zeit, in der es geschrieben wurde, nicht leugnen.
