Professor Davis' course is a real university level introduction into chemistry. A lot of math, including logarithm, exponential functions and calculus. The first 30 (!) lessons are pure physics: Quantummechanics, Orbital Theorie, Solid State Physics, Thermodynamicss. In the second part these basics will put into work in chemistry proper. So this course is surely not easy listening but if you are prepared for a bit of mental work your reward is enormous: You learn "How it all works". The material in the pdf is excellent and absolutely necessary for the understanding of several lessons. I guess you will either love this course or shake your head and cry: Spare me!
