Fun easy listen, but there are a couple of major issues that just drop the rating and raise some flags. Misogyny, some really inappropriate comments about victims of abuse in the line of “I’m not weak, if he would abuse me I would just leave” or <<<spoiler!!! he got the crazy gene from his abusive dad”>>>

neben der nervigen Protagonisten, die der Meinung ist, dass ein heißer Mann sie nicht lieben kann, weil sie übergewichtig ist und weil ihre Mutter ihr das gewissermaßen eingetrichtert hat, gibt es auch noch einige Logiklöcher. warum ist sie zum Beispiel der Meinung sie müsste, nach dem die ganze Täuschung komplett aufgeflogen ist, immer noch die drei Wochen durchziehen. Dazu finde ich dass, die Zerstörung des Handys durch den Protagonisten fehl am Platz ist und nicht für seinen Charakter spricht. Ich wünsche mir einfach mal selbstbewusste Charaktere die sich wie erwachsene Menschen verhalten und keinen "es ist nicht wie du denkst" Monolog halten müssen, um dann alles aufzuklären, was der jeweilige andere fälschlich angenommen hat.

I have to admit that I just listened to half of the Story so please keep in mind that the book might get better towards the End. And I have to admit, that the plot was not that bad. But I get tried of those Shifter stories that justify and glorify physical abuse. Bdms and kinks are one thing, but to use physical violence as a way of control, humiliation and punishment is something completely different. And that doesn't change just because it's written that the person being hurt gets turned on. The intention and situations of it being consensual and in the context of sex or being used as a way of control and disrespect are two completely different ones.

There is such thing as to much dominance

Die Protagonistin ist ein Wiederspruch in sich, alles wird über erklärt und über wiederholt. Das ich die über dominance von alpha Typ ekelhaft finde und der einzige Unterschied zwischen Missbrauch und einverstandlichkeit durch Erregung definiert wird, für mich inakzeptabel ist, ist wohl Geschmackssache.
