Perfectly paced and entertaining
A supervillain and her arch nemesis (the superhero) get stuck in another world and gain new skills in addition.
A simple but entertaining concept, nothing really new. But it is not the base Idea of these stories that make them good, it is the execution. In this case, the execution is excellent. Nicely build characters that we get to know a lot better over the story well-paced timing in all scenes and a lot of funny moments.
The best part is the side characters are as interesting and likeable as the main characters. I am excited to get the next book as soon as it releases.

A quick jaunt into a fantasy world
I read the original version on RR and bought it again here, just to have it as an audiobook.
I wasn't disappointed. The narration is excellent as always, and Hollie Jackson has a lot or work with. The characters are smartly written and believable, and I do like the mystery around Vias past.
The only thing I could I have done without was Rell's tragic backstory. While I like how the author paints a world that isn't "nice like in the novels," I thought this particular part was a bit ham fisted.
Still, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and am going to buy book two right away.
