Über diesen Titel
The Terran Commonwealth has proved a nigh-unstoppable juggernaut in its war against the smaller Castle Federation and her allies, but an almost accidental victory by Captain Kyle Roberts of the carrier Avalon has opened a chink in its armor. Desperate to change the course of a war they are rapidly losing, the Federation assembles a new forward fleet with orders to retake the systems that have fallen to the enemy.
Outnumbered but on the offensive at last, Kyle Roberts must take a hastily assembled battle group back to the worlds the Alliance failed to defend. There he will live or die by the skills of his soldiers and the honor of his enemies.

This review might sound negative but it’s not meant to be, this is still a great book I just hope the next one is slightly easier to comprehend!
Great book - not as good as the first 2 but still good

TL;DR
Here we have nice, undemanding military sifi for beginners with some weaknesses.
The first narrator does an outstanding job and the second one does a good job.
You can easily hear it in passing.
Nice action, appealing characters and an interesting basic story.
That for the positive.
Neutral would be to note that the author has thrown in therms he heard somewhere and thought "hey, this sounds cool", but he has no idea what they mean.
As an example: there is no Cherenkov radiation in a vacuum. Of course it sounds impressive when spaceships “emit” something like this when they leave the Alcubierre field. In which, according to current mathematics, you don't have to accelerate.
But like I said, it sounds good, so why not.
The main negative thing I noticed was that the author tends to repeat himself. Very often.
If I hadnt understood hat fighter missiles are "stupid" the third time, the fifth or tenth time wouldn't help me either.
The same applies to the fighter pilots.
Yes, they are expendable. I understood it after the first book.
And last but not least, the author's obsession with skin color should be noted. I like it when some things aren't described too precisely. So a beautiful woman in my head is the way I imagine her to be. Not the way the author imagines it. The same applies to skin colors. If I want the Stellar Fox to be a black man, it doesn't help me if it is described 20 times that he has red hair and light skin. Especially when it's completely irrelevant to the story, like here. He is described as large and impressive. that's completely enough.
Nice entertainment for in between
