Thursday, August 6th: The eternal Son became truly human so that He could suffer in our place, taste death for us, and bring many sons and daughters into glory. Jesus is not ashamed to call His redeemed people brothers and sisters, and through His resurrection He has broken the devil’s power and freed us from slavery to the fear of death. Because He suffered when tempted, our merciful and faithful High Priest understands our struggles and is able to help us.
