Hi, Hello, Welcome to The In-Bri-tween!
Join me on this little trip into Episode #4 where we are going to talk about…
TRAVELLING in a liminal space!
Starting out with a recent Summer-Time experience of mine, where I also leave you with hopefully some useful and COOL summer hacks for your next heatwave.
Then smoothly moving into our THREE objectives and unleashing a deep ponder over themes like:
-Holidays as ‘fixers’ - to make all of our problems magically go away
-The deeper, invisible ‘connection’ We have with travelling (wink, wink)
-Finding forgotten and hidden pieces of OurSelves within unfamiliar and breathtaking corners of Planet Earth
-And last but not least, a little confession through a huge summary about the creative journey of this episode…
Aaaaaand (maybe) MORE - depending on your pattern recognitiong and creation.
I think that is it… let’s see where this episode take us!
Thanking you kindly for being here and for listening.
And special thanks to those of you who were kindly given me some amazing reviews!
Please, do let me know your brain and heart musings in the comments, as it immensely helps and guides me to create the episodes the way that is more aligned with You all!
Until then, enjoy the ride with a view,And I shall meet you soon (with)in our next in-between!
P.S.: If any part of the storytelling on here resonated with you on a level that you feel called to unpack certain areas of your life and create significant and meaningful changes within them, then please do reach out to schedule in a free consultation call where we are going to set out your next guidelines towards your needs and desires. I look forward to connecting with you! :)
With Love & Health,
Bri
P.P.S.: Oh! As a nerdy English major, I have done some extended research and found some amazingly unique synonyms for ‘TRAVELLING’! Enjoy!
–Peregrinate - A word for long or meandering journeys (especially on foot) Peregrination - It is the journey of traveling to various places over an extended period of time, physically demanding.
–Sojourn - a word for temporary stays, a brief visit that is not your home. This word is not to be confused with JOURNEY. As ‘journey’ actively focuses on the act of moving from place to place, while SOJOURN is the deliberate pause at a specific destination… (NOTE: A perfect synonym for The In Bri-tween. HA!)
–Voyage - A word for a long and often adventurous journey taken by water, air or space… Bon Voyage when being on a cruise. (Fun Fact: I cruised through (see what I did there?) a period of time when I turned the TV on during the evening all the different movies were on the different channels, instead of evening time telly, I always ALWAYS caught the ending of Titanic when the unfortunate scene with the two beloved characters and the door happened… It happened about 5-6 times in a row… and for some reason I felt that it was a sign.)
–Globetrotting - The act of travelling frequently and to many different countries because of leisure, sightseeing, and also mainly for business, career. It describes a lifestyle characterized by extensive international travelling and deep familiarity for different cultures. (Globetrotting journalist, or a globetrotting executive)
I would say backpackers… who are just going from one place to another. Relatively fast.
–Wanderlust - A strong, deep and irresistible urge to travel around and explore the world and wander from place to place. And it is not just a passing hobby, but it is a craving for new experiences and the unknown (those in-betweens - I love IT!).
–Gallivant - This word is more likely to describe wandering for pleasure, entertainment and pure enjoyment rather than sticking to a specific travelling plan. Informal word, as it is implying that the person doing the gallivanting is having fun while neglecting other responsibilities or duties.
(P.S. The origin’s of Gallivant is coming/borrowed from the French word ‘galant’ as in ‘fashionable young man’ or ‘ladies’ man’ which then transformed into “gallanting” as in courting /the act of winning over the hear of a woman/... so the romantic tone or sense of the word that was carried into to describe the type of traveling that this word describes today… Hmm… Interesting!)
