ARGO Book 2: In Robot Messiah, Captain Justin Case Rogers and the crew of the U.F.S.A. Independence are violently yanked out of their own time and into a mystery that spans billions of years, two factions of humanity, and a hidden war with shape-shifting infiltrators.

The novel opens in deep space, with the Independence under a massive torpedo attack near Ceres Prime. At the last instant, Justin orders his sentient robot friend Argo to engage the experimental "Gizmo Drives" powered by enigmatic "Smart Particles." Instead of jumping to a nearby safe system, the ship emerges over what appears to be Mars—but with oceans, lakes, thick atmosphere, and no modern infrastructure. The moons Phobos and Deimos orbit too high, and no navigational beacons or ships are detectable within three parsecs. The crew realizes they’re not just displaced in space, but in time.

The novel intertwines time travel, faith, political intrigue, and first contact archaeology, while blending hard science ideas (time dilation, atmospheric loss, LaGrange point fleets) with playful pop culture references—from Lost in Space and 2001: A Space Odyssey to Mad Max, The Dukes of Hazzard, John Carter’s Barsoom, and more. At its core, it’s about family across generations, the cost of trust in an age of perfect impostors, and a robot discovering he might be both an ancient alien artifact and an unlikely savior.
