Even an ordinary girl can be brushed by a feather of magic.
Joey Cameron is Clam Cove’s most sarcastic resident. Which may explain why she doesn’t have any friends. But that’s normal for her. What’s not normal? The sudden appearance of a gorgeous stranger named Alec, who really wants to hang out with her. It seems too good to be true. In spite of his weird behavior and weirder questions—who doesn’t know what a pimple is?—Joey is beginning to like like him. Until he tells her he’s urgently searching for a girl who “presents as human.” That is too much even for an open-minded misfit like Joey.
Then Alec tells her the truth: he’s a fae bounty hunter desperately searching for a runaway fae girl. A fae girl who has replaced a human and stolen her life. And if he doesn’t find the imposter soon, the human girl will be trapped in the fae realm forever. Joey should probably get as far away from Alec as possible, which isn’t very far in tiny Clam Cove. But the more he tells her, the more everything about him makes sense. And Joey realizes that she may be the only person who can help.
As Joey and Alec search for clues, time starts running out. Soon there’s just one, dangerous choice left: Joey has to enter the fae realm. The problem? Getting out might be impossible.
