Carrying Hope with Sibu is my show about navigating the unseen journey to conception, the grief, the waiting, the moments that don't make it onto anyone's highlight reel. I bring in real people to tell the full story of what the fertility path actually looks like. It's built for hopeful women, men, and couples who need to hear that their experience has a name. Most people smile and say 'just keep trying,' and I wanted to make a show that goes deeper than that. Each conversation brings you closer to feeling less alone on the path to conception. I've walked the unseen journey to conception myself, and I know how isolating it can feel when you're navigating infertility. That's why I've created this platform, a space where your reproductive health journey isn't just acknowledged, it's held with care and community. Join us as we explore what it means to carry hope through the hardest seasons.Copyright 2026 Sibulele Nomnganga Hygiene & gesundes Leben Sozialwissenschaften
  • The Quiet Storm – When "Just Relax" Isn't Working
    Jul 19 2026

Just relax, go on holiday, it’ll happen."

We’ve all heard well-meaning phrases like this, but when you are privately struggling with fertility, these words can cut deep. In this premiere episode of Carrying Hope, we explore the distinct, heavy moment when trying to conceive stops being romantic and begins to feel like an exhausting, isolated storm.

Joined by our special guest, Mapula Badi-Ndou (Author of I Am a Woman Too and founder of the We Are Women Too movement), we dive into the cultural depth, unspoken expectations, and societal pressures placed on women to bear children quickly. This is an open, raw look at what the early months of silent fertility struggles actually feel like and how to navigate them.

    In This Episode we cover:

    • The "fairytale" timeline vs. the reality of conception.
    • How to handle unsolicited advice and societal commentary.
    • Navigating cultural and family pressures early in the journey.
    • What to tell yourself when you are staring down another negative test.

  • Welcome to Carrying Hope: Navigating the unseen journey to conception
    Jul 18 2026

Across South Africa and globally, an increasing number of couples are silently navigating the complex realities of conception and fertility challenges. Despite how common these struggles are, the conversations surrounding miscarriage, hormonal disorders, IVF, and the immense emotional strain of trying to conceive (TTC) remain deeply stigmatized and isolated. Produced by KwaNomG, Carrying Hope is a deeply human-centered 10-episode podcast and digital storytelling initiative. We are pulling back the curtain on the realities that are often left under-discussed. Our mission is simple: to dismantle shame, normalize these vulnerable conversations, encourage male participation, and build a trusted, supportive online community grounded in empathy, education, and hope. You do not have to carry this weight alone. Whether you are a couple trying to conceive, a partner looking for a safe space to process grief, or a loved one trying to understand the journey, this space is for you.
