Although a PA at a prestigious publishing house in New York, Brooke McConnell is missing her native Scotland, which she departed after her broken engagement. So when Brooke’s boss tells her about a much-coveted job as PA to Scottish literary agent Levi Hudson, Brooke jumps at the opportunity.
It sounds like her dream job, living and working in the stunning Scottish Highland town of Loch Tay, and representing her favourite author, the enigmatic and camera-shy Petra Swan. However, it turns out that Petra Swan doesn’t exist – for the adored author, darling of contemporary romance, is in fact, grumpy but good-looking Levi’s austere mother, Cecily.
