DAY 33 – VICTORY THROUGH FAITH Scripture: 1 John 5:4 "for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." Podcast Devotional The world defines victory by results—money earned, battles won, goals achieved. God defines victory differently: faith. John doesn't say faith might overcome the world. He says it has. That means victory doesn't begin when circumstances change—it begins when trust is placed in Christ. Men struggle here because faith feels passive. We want action, control, certainty. But faith is choosing to trust God when outcomes are unclear, timelines are slow, and answers aren't immediate. Faith doesn't deny reality—it anchors you in truth while reality catches up. Some of the greatest victories in a man's life happen internally: Trusting God with a future you can't see Obeying when obedience costs comfort Believing God's promises when feelings disagree That kind of faith overcomes the world. Application: Where are you relying more on control than faith? Today, intentionally trust God with one unresolved situation.
