 Good afternoon. New York. I'm Aaron Jolly. That light dusting of snow yesterday is already a memory. Temperatures climbed overnight and we're starting the day at 45 degrees under gray skies. Think of today as the weather catching its breath. Because changes are coming fast. In the next 24 hours. New York City sits at 46 degrees this afternoon with a chance of rain between 1 and 3 P.M. Tonight stays mild at 38 degrees, but rain returns after 4 A.M. Head north and the picture brightens — literally. The Capital Region enjoys sunny skies and 45 degrees. Tonight brings a sharp cooldown to 27 degrees with patchy fog developing after 11 P.M. Western New York also sees sunshine today, reaching 48 degrees. Clouds roll in tonight with a low of 33. Central New York hits 42 under mostly sunny skies, dropping to 32 tonight. Thursday tells a different story. Rain spreads statewide.
