Good afternoon. New Jersey. I'm Aaron Jolly. That damp chill you felt this morning? It's not just you. We picked up nearly a quarter inch of rain overnight. And those gray skies are sticking around. The atmosphere is basically reloading for another go. Step outside and you're at 46 degrees under heavy cloud cover. In the next 24 hours. Here's how your day shapes up. North Jersey climbs to 49 degrees, but keep an umbrella handy between 1 and 3 P.M. Down in South Jersey, you're dealing with areas of fog all day, with off-and-on rain possible from 1 P.M. Right through early evening. Central Jersey sits in the middle at 50 degrees, with just a slight chance of a shower late this afternoon. Tonight doesn't bring relief. Fog thickens across much of the state. A Dense Fog Advisory kicks in at 6 P.M. For coastal areas, lasting through Thursday morning. Visibility could drop below a mile near the shore. Lows settle in the upper 30s statewide. That full moon tonight? You might have to imagine it through the murk. Thursday turns into a total soaker. Rain becomes widespread by morning and continues through the day. Highs stall in the mid-40s with potentially a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain. It finally tapers off Friday morning. But here's the payoff. High pressure builds in for the weekend. Saturday warms into the upper 50s to mid-60s. Sunday and Monday look fantastic with 60s statewide.
