 Good morning. Georgia. I'm Aaron Jolly. Folks. Georgia woke up wearing a gray hoodie today. Step outside and you'll feel 49 degrees with fog clinging to everything. That's cold air damming at work. High pressure along the eastern seaboard is pushing cool, moist air westward. And it's pinned against the Appalachians like a wet blanket that won't budge. In the next 24 hours. Metro Atlanta stays locked under clouds most of the day. You'll top out around 64 degrees with east winds gusting to 20 miles an hour. Not cold, not warm. Just. Gray. Tonight eases to 52 as the wedge finally loosens its grip. Now slide south toward the coast. Completely different vibe. That backdoor front stalled near the Altamaha River. And everything south of it gets sunshine and 71 degrees. Savannah's winning today. Patchy fog rolls in after 2 A.M. Tonight with lows near 55. Eastern Georgia splits the difference. Partly sunny, 66 degrees. But watch for widespread fog before 9 A.M. Wednesday. That morning commute could get tricky. And speaking of Wednesday. That's the plot twist. The wedge collapses and warmth floods back in. Atlanta jumps to 77. Eastern Georgia hits 79. Even the coast climbs to 75. That's a 52 degrees swing for Atlanta in one day. The rest of the week gets downright wild. Highs push into the low 80s Thursday and Friday. That's 52 degrees to 52 degrees above normal for early March. Your azaleas might get confused. Rain chances creep in Friday and build through the weekend. Quick note if you're near Midville. A Flood Warning is active on the Ogeechee River through Friday morning. Stay clear of low water crossings. Tonight's full moon should peek through if the fog cooperates. And we're gaining two minutes of daylight every day now. Spring equinox is just two weeks out.
