Good evening. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. That steady rain drumming on your roof overnight left about a quarter inch across much of the state. But the bigger story this morning? Dense fog. Visibility has dropped to a quarter mile or less across northern Ohio. A Dense Fog Advisory runs until 11 A.M., so take it slow on that morning commute. In the next 24 hours. Down in Southwest Ohio, the ground is already saturated. A Flood Watch continues through early afternoon from Cincinnati up through Dayton. Some spots have picked up two to three inches of rain. And the Little Miami River near South Lebanon is in flood stage. Here's how today plays out region by region. Central Ohio sits at 44 degrees with rain showers and fog through the morning. Highs climb to 57 with more rain and even a rumble of thunder possible by late afternoon. Tonight, another half to three quarters of an inch falls. Northeast Ohio is cooler at 35 degrees under widespread fog. That fog lingers until around 11 A.M. You'll stay mostly dry today with a high near 49, but rain moves in tonight. Southwest Ohio is getting the heaviest rain. Already at 49 degrees, you'll see another one to two inches possible today with a high near 63. Thunderstorms are in the mix too. Looking ahead, this wet pattern holds through Saturday. But here's the headline: temperatures surge. Friday could hit 76 degrees in Central Ohio and 78 in the Southwest. That's about 35 degrees above normal for early March. A cold front Saturday brings more rain and storms, then Sunday finally clears out with sunshine and highs in the low 60s.
