Good afternoon. Georgia. I'm Aaron Jolly. Folks, if you walked outside this morning and thought someone wrapped Georgia in a damp gray blanket. You're not wrong. Fog settled in overnight and it's clinging to everything. In the next 24 hours. So what's going on? A wedge of high pressure is sliding down the eastern seaboard, pushing cool air and low clouds right over us. Think of it like a lid on a pot. That easterly flow is keeping everything socked in and gray. Right now we're sitting at 49 degrees. Not cold. Not warm. Just. Blah. But that lid lifts tomorrow. And what's underneath is going to surprise you. For the rest of today. Metro Atlanta stays mostly cloudy. High near 64 degrees with east winds gusting up to 20 miles an hour. Tonight drops to 52 under partly cloudy skies. Slide southeast toward Savannah and you'll catch more sunshine. Highs near 69 degrees along the coast. Patchy fog creeps back in after 2 A.M. With lows settling around 55. Eastern Georgia splits the difference. Partly sunny, highs near 66. Fog develops late tonight. Quick note if you're near the Ogeechee River around Midville. A Flood Warning stays in effect through Friday morning. Minor flooding is happening now. Now the fun part. That wedge collapses tomorrow. Winds swing south. And temperatures launch. Wednesday brings mostly sunny skies and upper 70s. Thursday and Friday? Low to mid 80s. That's 52 degrees to 52 degrees above normal for early March. Short sleeve weather in a hurry. Rain chances return this weekend as Gulf moisture pushes north. Scattered showers and storms possible Saturday, with better chances Sunday into Monday. In One more thing. Tonight's full moon rises at 6, 36 P.M. Right at sunset. And we're gaining over two minutes of daylight every day now. Spring is close enough to taste.
