Good evening. Ohio. I'm Aaron Jolly. If you stepped outside today, you probably noticed the squish underfoot. We picked up about a tenth of an inch of rain overnight. And the ground is officially saturated. That sets the stage for a very wet couple of days. In the next 24 hours. In Here's situation, a Flood Watch is in effect for much of the southern half of the state through Wednesday afternoon. We're looking at 1 to 2 inches of rain, with locally higher amounts possible. That much water falling on already soaked ground could lead to rising creeks and poor drainage flooding. Please, if you see a covered road, turn around. Tonight, rain remains widespread. You'll see temperatures hovering in the 40s across Central Ohio. Down in Cincinnati and Dayton, you're warmer, sitting near 50 degrees. Rain continues there, heavy at times, with a chance for thunderstorms. Wednesday brings more of the same. Highs reach the mid-50s in Columbus, while Southern Ohio climbs to the mid-60s. That warm, moist air fuels more showers and storms. The rain finally tapers off late Wednesday night, giving us a brief break on Thursday morning. Thursday and Friday are transition days. We warm up significantly—highs in the upper 60s to near 70. That's about 35 degrees above normal for early March. It feels nice, but it also fuels the next round of strong storms Friday night. Saturday looks stormy again as a cold front sweeps through. Once that passes. Sunday turns breezy and cooler with highs in the low 60s. We dry out nicely for the start of the work week, with sunshine returning Monday. For the extended outlook, check the latest forecast as confidence improves. That's your forecast — we'll be back tomorrow.
