Good morning. Florida. I'm Aaron Jolly. Grab your coffee and listen up, folks. If you're anywhere in North Florida right now, you mightn't be able to see your neighbor's house. Dense fog swallowed Lake and inland Volusia counties overnight. Visibilities dropped to a quarter mile. It lifts by mid morning, but take it slow through sunrise. In the next 24 hours. So what's driving today's weather? High pressure parked over the Northeast is funneling a steady onshore breeze across the whole peninsula. Think of it like a giant fan blowing Atlantic air straight at us. That sets up completely different days depending on which coast you're standing on. Let's start down in Miami. You're already at 71 degrees. Feels like summer never left. A few quick showers could pop along the coast around 6 A.M., but they move fast. Highs reach 78 degrees with breezy east winds gusting to 18 miles an hour. Tonight stays balmy at 72. Slide up to Orlando and the vibe shifts. Clear skies, 59 degrees at the door. Sunshine pushes you to 79 by early afternoon. Winds gust to 15 miles an hour around 3 P.M. Tonight settles to a comfortable 62. Jacksonville. You're socked in at 53 degrees. Once that fog burns off, mostly sunny skies carry you to 75 by 1 P.M. Northeast gusts hit 20 miles an hour. Patchy fog sneaks back after midnight. Now Tampa Bay. Sixty two degrees this morning, climbing to a gorgeous 83. A slight chance of thunderstorms south of Sarasota, but most of you stay dry. Tonight eases to 63. Looking ahead, that onshore flow digs in all week. Temperatures keep climbing. Inland spots push upper 80s to low 90s by Friday. The coast stays cooler, upper 70s. but Atlantic beaches get rough. High rip current risk starts Tuesday. Seas build to four to seven feet. Not the week to test your boogie board skills. I'll be tracking that warming trend all week.
