The Sunday Times Number One Bestseller.

Over 10 million copies sold around the world.

The original book from Morgan Housel, the New York Times and Sunday Times bestselling author of Same As Ever and The Art of Spending Money.

As featured on the Dr Chatterjee podcast Feel Better, Live More and The Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett.

Doing well with money isn't necessarily about what you know. It's about how you behave. And behavior is hard to teach, even to really smart people.

Money – investing, personal finance, and business decisions – is typically taught as a math-based field, where data and formulas tell us exactly what to do. But in the real world people don't make financial decisions on a spreadsheet. They make them at the dinner table, or in a meeting room, where personal history, your own unique view of the world, ego, pride, marketing, and odd incentives are scrambled together.

In The Psychology of Money, award-winning author Morgan Housel shares 19 short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and teaches you how to make better sense of one of life's most important topics.

A very good book that explains the fundamentals of how money works based on real life events (inflation, wars, interest rates etc.). The story telling is great and the explanation is not too complicated even for someone who is new to investing or finances in general. It really helped me think about many real life situations that affect our perception of what wealth is and how it can be gained. Thank you Mr. Howsel!

Great book about creating and maintaining WEALTH

It's a well argued pledge to think about personal finance independently that is rooted in American history. I would like to have the book from a European perspective, but enjoyed listening anyway.

Full of quotes and wisdom worth remembering.

Well, I would definitely give this one a good 9/10. It’s also on my read-again list. One of the key outcomes from this book is that physics is guided by laws, finance is guided by behaviour. Morgan Housel wrote an eloquent master piece the explains with comparative data and practical examples how you can tailor your behaviour towards successful financial management for best outcomes. Unfortunately he doesn’t say which stocks to buy 😂, yet he does put you on the right track.
Another key topic that’s covered is the difference between getting wealthy and staying wealthy. In other words, once wealthy, most people get cocky and change behaviour patterns, consequently they don’t stay wealthy for long 😏
But the Final and most important outcome was, no matter what, you have to Save, it’s out of the question, cause it’s your safety blanket.

i would have given the book 5 stars. the narrator's voice is o.k. i guess even though a bit robotic. but the most annoying thing is the audio quality where you constantly hear narrator breathing and moisturing his mouth...

the book is good. audio quality just miserable!

Great book , it is not about how to make yourself rich but it certainly tells you why it is more important to be wealthy than rich. And that’s better.

I am glad I came across this book
