This February’s State of Play presentation from PlayStation may have been one of its strongest showings yet.
This week on the Boss Rush Podcast, Corey Dirrig, LeRon Dawkins, and Patrick Klein break down Sony’s latest presentation and react to a packed slate of exciting announcements from both first- and third-party studios.
Konami made a major statement with the reveal of Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 2, a brand-new 2D Castlevania title from Motion Twin and Evil Empire, Silent Hill: Townfall from Bloober Team, and a publishing deal for The Darwin Project.
Capcom also stood out, sharing final looks at Resident Evil Requiem, Monster Hunter Stories 3, and Pragmata ahead of their respective launches.
Sony’s first-party lineup was equally impressive, featuring Suros from Housemarque, a final look at Marathon from Bungie, a Ghost of Yotei Legends update from Insomniac Games, the multiplayer-focused 4Loop, and perhaps the biggest surprise of all—a major showing from the God of War franchise.
That included a shadow drop of Sons of Sparta, a new 2D search-action title starring a young Kratos and Deimos, alongside a full ground-up remake of the original trilogy from Santa Monica Studio.
All this and more on a packed episode of The Boss Rush Podcast.
