Step outside right now and you're feeling 22 degrees. Not terrible, but this is the coldest day you'll see for a week. By Tuesday, we're jumping 30 degrees. Yeah, you read that right. Northeast Kansas, you're hitting 35 degrees around 4 P.M., but those northwest winds gusting to 30 miles an hour will keep you honest. Tonight drops to 15 by 4 A.M., feeling more like 5 with that wind. South Central warms to 41 by 3 P.M., then falls to 21 overnight. Western Kansas, you're the warm spot at 41 around 4 P.M., but you'll still hit 15 by sunrise. Here's where it gets wild. Monday climbs into the upper 30s and low 40s. Then Tuesday? We're talking 60s statewide, with Western Kansas flirting with 70. That's mittens to sunglasses in 48 hours. Wednesday night brings a cold front with a slight chance of light rain — nothing heavy, just enough to settle the dust. Thursday cools slightly to the 50s and 60s, then Friday bounces right back near 70 under sunshine. So Dress warmly today. By Tuesday, you'll be wondering where you put your sunglasses.
