Welcome back, faithful friends, to a brand new series of Hit or Miss: Doctor Who. Things are getting decidedly chilly as we head to Snowcap Base in the South Pole — and into our first examination of the cold, brutal logic of the chilling Cybermen. D.K. is your host, guiding our podcast party through the debut appearance of the menacing cyborgs in a hugely important story that also just happens to feature the first ever regeneration. They discuss whether the Cybermen make a strong first impression, the pacing and limitations of 60s television, Hartnell’s unfortunate absence from Episode Three, and a whole lot more than you can shake a Z-bomb at.
