In the 40-second century, the cure for death isn't made in a lab, it's stolen from a nightmare. Spark is a biological narcotic that halts aging, but it refuses to grow in captivity. Damien volunteers to be a Spark Raider. Him and Parker are mercenaries who drop from orbit to snatch the crop from the jaws of monsters.
