“When is it okay to quit on my marriage?”
If you are asking this question, you are probably hurting. You may feel exhausted, discouraged, and unsure how much longer you can hold on. In this episode of the Greater Marriage Podcast, we speak to that pain with compassion, biblical truth, and real hope.
This conversation is not about shame or judgment. It is about clarity, grace, and walking honestly with God in one of the hardest seasons a marriage can face.
We talk openly about why marriage can feel unbearably heavy and what Scripture actually says about divorce. We address the passages often quoted without context and explain the difference between covenant, commitment and enduring harm.
In this episode we cover:
What God means when He says He hates divorce
The Biblical grounds where divorce is permitted
How Scripture views adultery, abandonment, and abuse
Why culture prioritizes happiness but God calls us toward healing and holiness
Sometimes the first thing God wants to restore is not the marriage but the heart.
If you are unsure whether the fight is worth it, this episode will help you slow down, seek wisdom, and take the next faithful step.
God is a Redeemer. Even dead things can live again in His hands.

Dustyn and Heather Miller are the voices behind the Greater Marriage Podcast. With a combined 25+ years of ministry experience, they have dedicated their lives to serving others and strengthening marriages.
Dustyn, a Bible school graduate, jumped into full-time ministry immediately after completing his studies. His heart for people and commitment to God's calling have driven him to serve in various leadership capacities over the years. Heather, after earning her degree in business, also entered full-time ministry, where she and Dustyn worked side-by-side in youth and children’s ministries for more than a decade. Today, they lead a thriving Young Marrieds ministry at their local church, where they are passionate about helping couples build strong, lasting relationships.
Married for 12 years and the parents of three children, Dustyn and Heather's marriage is a testament to the power of God's grace. Heather's journey is also marked by resilience—having been widowed before marrying Dustyn, she brings a unique perspective on healing, restoration, and the redemptive power of God. Their greatest joy is seeing marriages restored, strengthened, and thriving.
Through their podcast, they offer practical advice, biblical wisdom, and heartfelt encouragement to couples at every stage of marriage. They believe that every marriage can be greater, no matter the challenges, and they are on a mission to inspire couples to pursue God's best for their relationships.
