A new threat has emerged, but this one is coming from inside Awaken Online. An unknown guild has somehow managed to threaten the game world. Yet, unlike Jason's former battles, his enemies are unclear—hidden in the shadows and hiring others to do their dirty work, including the infamous Death and Taxes. Without a clear enemy or way to stop this threat, Jason is forced to do something he never thought he would...ask for help.

Perhaps the united might of the avatars may be enough to subdue this new threat. Assuming they can overcome their issues and learn to fight together, they may be able to save AO.

And if not...they'll have front row seats to the end of the world.

Level just increases

Nach der Entwicklung der Story über die letzten Bände, habe ich mich schon gefragt, was als Steigerung noch kommen könnte. Aber wow, ein wirklich gut gemachter Twist! Macht mir einfach Spaß die Serie! Daumen hoch! :)

The story continued as annoying as “Happy”, the side story, recommend reading before this book.

I really hated the intrigues and annoying way how “Bard” played its role, but I guess this should somehow replicate real live, and if you are surrounded by annoying, selfish people.

I still do not like the “super power” of “Smiles” and how he got so strong. This simply breaks the mechanic of an online game world, AI manipulated or not.

Why the “great reset” had to come I do nor know, but this part of the “Kingdom of Nephelen” or how it is spelled I liked, since it showed how easy the masses can get manipulated.

End was ok, but all previous books, beside “Happy” I liked more, therefore may rating.

Nevertheless I will read the next book to see how the story will progress.
