the book ist intressting and the Journey and Fights Ember gets into are well writhen. the issue i See is that Ember more and more devoles into a cavemen. All Problems are solved whit violence in different ways or whit fear. Also i dont get why ppl Always try to disrespect highlevel individuals. Most people Go whit her whims wich is quite irretating. the VA hast a nice range and ist easy to hear multiple hours.

good read

Giving the second book in the series a chance I am partially regretting it. Everyone in the story is either there as a stepping stone for the mc or as someone to point out how awesome they are. If they initially don't glaze the mc, give it a minute.
There is also the problem of the author using the same phrase or word in abundance over short periods of time. At first I thought it was meant as a means to emphasise certain things, but that hasn't been proven true even once.
If you can look past the constant glazing and people's eyes popping out of their heads in shock and amazement over the amazing mc doing amazing things amazingly give it a listen.

Some of my gripes with the book overall:
There first book was already rushing the story and advancement for the mc and the buttering up for them, but this one goes into overdrive. At one point people can not even reason with them anymore as the mc beats them up if they don't like their opinion or get annoyed. Which then is praised and seen as the only right response by the support cast. I was hoping for the mc to get reprimanded at one point for their behaviour - as was one of the side characters - only to get my hopes dashed.
At the end of book two the mc has become an unlikable persona, unwilling to see their own mistakes or listen to the opinion of people they don't deem a friend.

Can you believe how amazing the mc is? Let me tell you all about it!
