Wirklich schöne Stunden
Ich liebe Fantasy Geschichten. Diese ist ganz besonders schön. Die Figuren sind sehr lebendig beschrieben, bleiben sich treu und entwickeln sich. Die Geschichte nimmt unerwartete Wendungen, wirkt aber nie erratisch.
Mir hat das Buch wirklich schöne Stunden beschert!
Der Sprecher spricht die Figuren super. Jede hat ihre eigene Stimme. Beeindruckend.

Ohrenschmaus... englische Version aus Neugier
Vor lauter Neugier wie es weitergeht habe ich dieses Buchsogar auf englisch gehört. Es hat sich gelohnt. Spannung vom ersten bis zu letzten Kapitel. Ich warte sehnsüchtig auf die Fortsetzung.

Tolle tolle und liebenswerte Charakter
Ein wirklich tolles zweites Buch. Meiner Meinung ist es besser als das erste. Es hat mich gut unterhalten. Bin gespannt, wie es weitergeht.

Awesome as ever
During Age of Myth I was still struggling to love the new set of characters as much as I did Royce, Hadrian, Arista and Gwen but by now I can hardly wait for the next. In Age of Swords the story gains speed and familiarity. A great peek at what is coming and now I can have 6 books instead of 5.
Thank you Michael Sullivan and Timm Reynolds both of you are great.

All in on stupidity
The story continues, but this time several chapters and central plot points are dedicated to somekind of children's story on the invention of all kind of things. The worst thing is that most of the inventions make no sense, the author seems have no grasp on how things were invented, or what challenges that were overcome in their inventions. He doesn't understand bronze (tin is rarer than copper), iron (better for being more common, but you can't control carbon directly without modern tools, which makes the quality random), the bow (was invented very early for hunting small animals, the main invention was finding the right materials for larger version and the training necessary to draw them), or the wheel (its invention mainly determined by landscape, and completely unsuitable for forests..).. And let's ignore the massive stupidity that is his understanding of linguistics, where somebody unable to read any language can not only decipher a foreign dead language and foreign script, but understand its phonetics too in mere hours. Something logically impossible, we don't know what ancient languages sounded like for a reason even with all our modern analysis and sources.
The result is a book that goes on and on about really dumb inventions that make no sense.
To top things off the non-humans seem to end on massive collective brainfarts, making the setup for the next book stupid beyond belief.
At least we have a cools mix of central characters, just wish what they did made more sense
