This story has everything for Christmas, romance and laughter, a little heat and Meeting old friends. The narrator is just great

my favourite Christmas book this year

While I am still not used to Mary Jane Wells performance of male voices (I think they sound fake and very overdone, at least the main characters), I do like her female voices very much. I do like Rosalyn Landor much more but that's beside the point. The story itself was not as deep as the Wallflower books, but I don't think it was meant to be. It's a beautiful addition and I also liked the fact that all of them appeared and even had their own little private stories in the book!

Mary Jane Wells performs amazingly as always.
But the story was not only uncomfortable, it crossed the line. I have accepted, that in victorian England unmarried ladys were probably neither allowed nor able to communicate their needs, and while I think these traditions and ways of thinking still contibutes to date-rape, etc. this story goes to far. The heroine excplicitly says no and trys to repell the hero physically, but he still is ok, because he loves and needs her and because he knows better. He is not a good guy, not even underneath. This needs to be rewritten!
