Spoilers:
Some of the events really push the suspension of disbelief. One of the side plots revolves around the Queens life being threatened and the Royal Guards as well as MI5 are hoplessly incompetent at protecting her. Apparently metal detectors have not yet been invented in the near future.

The story takes place in some near future alternative universe Britain, but the world building on that is barely existent and feels more like an excuse to have holo screens and strap ons with sensation.

The characters themselves are.. fine, I didnt get particularly invested into any one of them.

The romance is fine but..

I love all Jenny Frame Books and audiobooks! I was just irritated with the voice of the narrator because I was used to Nicola Victoria Vincent and Keira Grace and their deep and throaty voices...
But the story is so beautiful and a perfect Royal Romance indeed! For all Frame Fans a Must and for all romantics at heart!
