Über diesen Titel
In a world darkened by deceit, the truth is a light that won’t be dimmed—even when it illuminates Lorian’s betrayals more starkly than I could ever want to see.
They call him the Bloodthirsty Prince. His reign of terror has left a trail of blood across this continent, a trail that intertwines with my own past—not even my parents were spared from his merciless slaughter.
To save my brother’s life, I agreed to another bargain with the fae prince. Now, I’m forced to work with him, to travel to the fae lands, to spend my every waking moment with the man who betrayed me. All because King Sabium has woven a deadly tapestry of manipulation, using those we least suspect for his wicked schemes.
There are no lines I won’t cross to protect the people I love. So I’ll work with former enemies. I’ll manipulate, blackmail, and deceive potential allies. I’ll swallow my pride, bury my shattered heart, and cooperate with the fae to prepare for the coming war.
Because there are creatures far more monstrous than the fae—and some of them masquerade as men.
Book two of this slow-burn enemies-to-lovers series will enchant fans of fantasy romance who love Raven Kennedy, Amanda Bouchet, and Carissa Broadbent.

Zäh und an so vielen Stellen misogyne Erzählungen

Prisca annoyed me in 80% of the story.
Either she was nearly breaking because of all the bad things that had happend and for which she blamed herself, or she was being torn apart because of her unnerving dilemma with Lorien, where she loved him but can't trust him, where he brought out the best in her but she won't get to keep him, where she constantly pushed him away but jumped into bed with him at every opportunity...that childish back and forth was annoying. And when she wasn't breaking or crying or drained or vomiting or being utterly miserabel she went full bitch mode and insulted and threatend everything and everyone...and was wondering why no one wanted to ally with her.
Loriens character lost every depth. He just said "wildcat" all the time and got angry whenever someone other than him talked to Prisca. This excessive possession bored me to death and minimalized his character into a broody, jealous mother hen.
The only thing I can say about the world building and the character development is that it was non-existent. Not only was the plot completely confusing, the world itself was it, too. All locations where the plot had been taken place were nothing more than grey dust to me because there was as good as no description of them. And the characters as well. All of them were completely faceless to me because the author missed to give a proper description of them, too. Maybe there has been a short introduction in the first book but in the second book there was absolutely no mention of how they look like.
I'm very disappointed. I really had high hopes on this series because I found the first book very very good...
Did anything actually happen??
