One day you're on the run, the next, you're king of your own territory. With lives on his shoulders, Titos must step up. With all the change, Titos struggles with being a ruler. Does he rule with compassion or without? He's been around humans too long, forgetting the edoli way. Showing weakness means no respect, but that is all Titos feels he is capable of.

With so much pressure building and his own expectations weighing him down, Titos makes some dicey decisions - decisions that could get them all killed.

Titos must gain control of his new territory, be the king his keepers keep claiming he is. With a new keeper showing up and challenging Seth, things are getting more complicated by the minute.

I enjoyed the book and amazing performance of narrator that can be easily distinguished even with more than half a dozen unique characters. Well done!

But… the book in unfinished and the rest book(s) are nowhere to be found. Such a shame… I hate unfinished stories

Missing third book

I listened to this audiobook and the first book of this serie because it was free on audible. The concept of this world is interesting enough and there are quite some secrets to make you want to continue listening... for some time. But to be honest, in two books and about 10 to 12 hours of listening not a lot of the story is unfolding. King Titos "collects" men and they have a lot of sex. Really. A lot. That's the main part of two books. I like a good written sex-scene as much as everyone who listens to these kinds of books. But if I get bored, because not quite much else is happening, it's too much. If all of the other books were for free as well, I probably would keep listening. But I don't want to spend the amount of money that would be needed to get to the end of the story. These books are just not for me, obviously. But if you enjoy a lot of sex-scenes or are in the mood for them, this is the right book for you. All in all, everything is really well written and the sex-scenes are hot and differ in what the men do to each other.
