His range of voices is amazing, expresses emotions brilliantly. There are some missteps here and there but nothing immersion breaking. He is funny too. Great man, great performer. I will listen to the rest of the books with pleasure.

Würden Sie A Game of Thrones noch mal anhören? Warum?

Diese Unsetzung des ohnehin schon großartigen Buches vervielfacht das Erlebnis der Schicksale jedes einzelnen Charakters durch einen unglaublich guten Sprecher. Ich weiß nicht, wie ich die Leistung von Roy Dotrice adäquat würdigen kann, der es schafft, jeder (!) Person seine/ihre eigene Stimme zu geben. Sein Talent geht so weit, dass man an jede Stelle aller bislang erschienenen 5 Bücher gehen kann und sofort erkennt, wer gerade spricht. Wer dieses Hörbuch hat, braucht keine Fernsehserie mehr.

Der Vorleser versteht es wie kein anderer die Stimmung des Buchs aufzunehmen und sie genial umzusetzen. Die Stimme passt einfach nur perfekt zu dem Buch. Das Buch an sich ist unbestritten eines der besten seines Genres momentan. Auf jeden Fall eine Kaufempfehlung!

Geniale Umsetzung eines genialen Buchs

Nun ja die Filme kenne ich schon fand sie noch gut, die Hörbücher sind nun ein wenig ausführlicher und besser einzutauchen, der Sprecher macht seine Aufgabe sehr gut, habe beim Deutschen Reingehört, nun die ausprache der Namen gefallen mir hier um einiges besser,
Wenn man zwischen Deutsch und Englisch entscheiden kann würde ich auf jedenfall das Englische empfehlen, Auch kostengünstiger nur 10 statt 20 Hörbücher.

Most of the characters are likeable and there was character development/growth visible. Many references about sex and women were questionable to weird, as they are so obviously imagined and written by a man. Overall the story takes some time to pick up as there are many in depth characters, but once it does, it is hard to stop.
Unfortunately I did not enjoy the readers depiction. Somehow most the women in the story sounded like old bats and the weak, battered voices were a bit tiring to listen to.
