Alexander King:

A beautiful story about family, friendship, loyalty mixed with heartache, misunderstandings, forgiveness and of course love. And over all a splah of fun. Yes, it is quite long but it is worth it and there is nothing boring about it. Two great main characters, one fighting a childhood trauma (a mother who left him and his very young struggling father) and the other one coping with ADHD and very interesting side characters including a litte cute kitten. Very good narrated. Totally recommended.

Die Geschichte ist gut. An einigen Stellen echter Tiefgang. Man sollte etwas geduldig sein. Aber leider geht dann alles zum Ende hin den Bach runter. Nach etlichem Hin und Her kommen sich die beiden endlich näher und man wähnt sich schon am Ziel. Leider gibt es dann eine einstündige Passage, die so unangenehm intim wird, da total albern und kindisch dargestellt, das selbst der geduldigste Hörer hier aussteigen muss. Das haben die beiden Hauptdarsteller nicht verdient und der Hörer auch nicht. Schade.
Der Erzähler macht einen guten Job,kann das aber tatsächlich auch nicht mehr retten. Von mir leider keine Empfehlung.

Such an incredibly boring story with repressed adults acting like teenagers. I usually like slow burn, but here I kept waiting for something substantial to happen, but no. A 30 something being all hot and bothered by the bratty 20 something brother of his best friend could have been an interesting story, but no. Just plain prattle all the time. I gave up at chapter 8.
