Über diesen Titel

After being dumped by his long-term boyfriend for being overweight, Henry Beckett decides to make some drastic changes. In a vain attempt at getting his boyfriend back, Henry does the most absurdly frightening thing he can think of.

He joins a gym.

Reed Henske is a personal trainer who isn't sure he'll ever be ready to date again. He's sick of guys who are only interested in the perfect body image, never seeing him for who he really is.

As Reed tortures Henry with things like diet and exercise, Henry enamors Reed with recipes and laughter. As the friendship lines start to blur, Henry is convinced there's no way Thor-like Reed could ever be interested in a guy like him.

Reed just has to convince Henry that life isn't about reaching your ideal bodyweight. It's about finding your perfect counterweight.

I Can’t describe how much fun it was to listen to that audiobook!!! Even though there are true messages in this book, the main character was just epic, with all his comments and thoughts!! I found myself in him and loved how much he developed!! A must not only for fans of gay romance!! It was sweet and so funny!! Loved it so much!!

I absolutely enjoyed listening to Henry’s story. It had everything you could wish for, likeable characters, romance, somebody feeling better and better about themselves and the person who loved them all along. It would be almost too perfect and sweet but the humour kept it from becoming cheesy. Just listen and enjoy…

Wenn man das Genre MM Romance auch nur halbwegs mag, ist man mit diesem Audiobook auf der sicheren Seite.
Ich liebe die Red Dirt Heart Serie von N. R. Walker und dieser Single Titel hier kann mithalten.
Die Romance ist sweet und die Hauptfigur Henry sehr unterhaltsam geschrieben. Wer Drama und viel Komplikationen in einem Romance Buch braucht, könnte allerdings eine Durststrecke erleiden und sei hiermit gewarnt.
Zum Sprecher:
Ich bin von Joel Leslie mit seiner Stimme bei manchen Büchern nicht immer völlig überzeugt. Aber hier liefert er feinstes, super unterhaltsames Hörkino!!!! Bravo!
Ich habe dieses Buch mehrheitlich auf dem Arbeitsweg gehört und war fast durchgehend am Schmunzeln, laut Lachen oder breit lächeln. Besonders das erste Drittel war richtig lustig. Couchpotato Henry in der Anfangsphase, wenn man wieder mit Sport anfängt? Unser Drama King war too relatable! Ich konnte so mitfühlen. *schon wieder am Lachen*

Henry & Reed are such a cute and funny couple. I loved them right away from the first moment.
Thanks N.R. Walker for this wonderful written MM-Romance with adorable main and side characters and a strong love against all prejudices.
And thanks to Joel Lesie who once more shows his range of voicing characters and who made especially Henry a favorite of my heart.
I highly recomment this audiobook (as I recomment the written book too, of course).

Henry finds himself in a situation that he never thought possible - and decides to take accountability.
After this first step into the right direction he changes his life in a fairly short amount of time.
With Reed by his side he learns that the small mould - he forced himself and his view of the world into - is not all there is for him.
I love Henry's no filter talking, his intelligence and kindness. I feel saddened that he did not allow himself to be his true self for years.
That's why Reed and Henry are so good for each other, they are willing to see the other.
Great story with very relatable journeys.
Joel Leslie did a great job in giving them their voices.
