“The boss is unashamedly into you.”

At least, that’s what my friend says.

It doesn’t matter that Wes Beckham owns the company I work for or that he’s twenty years older than me or that there’s a strict “no fraternization policy” in place.

She is convinced he wants me and that the office holiday party is the perfect place to let him know I’m interested.

Because while he’s technically my older, very off-limits boss, he’s also gorgeous and charming and despite his grumpy nature, he seems to have a soft spot for me.

So, I go for it. I take a risk for once and choose to be spontaneous and have one wild night with my boss.

But one night turns into a full weekend and by the end, it’s very obvious that he has zero intentions of letting me go.

He wants me and I want him but how long can we keep our relationship a secret?

This was my second Q.B. Tyler book after The Nanny is Off Limits, which I loved. Tyler’s writing is consistently spicy and refreshingly low on drama. Her characters talk openly about their feelings, which is a nice change from the usual miscommunication tropes.

The age gap trope was handled well, though I wish the slow burn had been… slower. Wes was sweet and completely smitten with Rae, which I enjoyed, but they got together so fast that it left little time to build real tension. Rae was likable but lacked some depth—she came across a bit shallow at times. -1 star

Jason Clarke was, as always, fantastic. His voice is smooth, sexy, and perfectly suited for Wes. I really enjoyed his chapters. Vanessa Moyen has a pleasant, easy-to-listen-to voice and handled the general narration well. However, her performance in the steamy scenes left a lot to be desired—very flat and mechanical, lacking emotion and chemistry, which definitely took away from the experience for me. Because of that, I’m knocking off another star.

Still, this was a fun, spicy listen, and I’m definitely looking forward to the rest of the series.

Short, sweet, spicy, drama free
