I didn't need the cherry red stilettos and tight mini skirt to make an impression, but I'm a firm believer in going big or going home. Plus, those shoes cost me a small fortune, so why not flaunt them?
The last thing I'd have expected was that the one man I could hardly bear to share the same breathing space with would find me and my shoes appealing enough to break his firm stand on not getting down and dirty with a colleague.
Had I been wearing panties that night, we'd have never fallen down that rabbit hole. Regardless, we needed the release and believed it would be a one time deal — an unspoken truth.

Jessica Adeline James is a career-driven woman who´s just been offered her dream position as a Creative Director. She is paired with the other Creative Director of the company, Brantley, who, with his bossy, grumpy, alpha-hole attitude and that snobbish but sexy British accent has her blood boiling in more than one way.
I loved their sexy snarky dialogues, teasing each other, which at the same time was quite endearing when Jess was teasing Brantley about his British accent. They start to get to know each other more closely but then Jess is thrown into a whirlwind of emotions and gets herself into a bit of predicament when her once bad boy solder Ex comes back into her life.
My heart was torn a bit as I was not sure who to root for and some of the choices made had me thinking of what I would have done in this situation. Let´s just say I had a smile on my face at the end.
The audio casting was so good!
First, I like to say that Ava Lucas, who dominates most of the narration flow, is kick-ass with her fierce, fun & flirty performance. Absolutely amazing!
Moving on to, OMG, Jason Clarke! He was incredible! His deep raspy voice AND the British accent – panty-melting hot!
Finally, Connor Crais, he can´t do no wrong. He is his awesome self and has listeners wrapped around his fingers, with his swoon-worthy performances of the side characters, including fun, good-natured assistant Jason, and Jess´s cocky hot Soldier Ex-Fiancé Anson.
This was my first read/listen by Sandra Sigfusson and it won´t be my last.
