frustrating slow burn

I did not enjoy this. If you like second Chance romances and the back and forth and hot and cold game between the characters then you'd probably like this book. Thats the reason I still gave this book 3 stars. I dont usually like the second Chance romance trope. Because we start with a lot of hurt, baggage and miscommunication. There are a few instances where i still liked second Chance romances. Well this one is not one of them. This is exactly why i do not like it. This couple starts with a lot of anomosity which is allright for the beginning but through nearly the entire book it doesnt let up. There is no communication between the two. They dont work on their relationship. There is not much interaction between them. They keep on drifting around each other stewing in their Anger, wrong assumtions and repressed guilt. In the few instances where they do make 1 step towards reconciliation it is promptly followed by 3 to 10 steps back. That Was very frustrating and got old pretty fast. Everytime something went south their first Instinct is to reverse back into their old patterns. At the near end something happened which caused the heroine to react in a certain way where I was like: NO NO NO!!!!. And i seriously thought about chugging the book into the wall but i was already 90% in and so I soldiered on. Also it is always a miss for me when the couple does not get to the conclusion that they belong together on their own instead they need third parties to hammer it into them. Sadly a miss for me.
